About the Project
‘Fly Me To The Moon’ is a solo-singer project that was recorded, mixed and mastered at Waysound. This track features a lead vocal track blended with a single stereo backing track. The single vocal layer allows the detail of the singer’s voice to be present in each verse & chorus. The process for this recording was done using an overdub technique. This same technique has been used by many similar artists to achieve a well polished finished product like the sample you hear here. The post production process involved for this track was focused on mainly comping each vocal take into one master take and blending the dynamics with the backing track.
‘Fly Me to the Moon’ is a popular standard song written by Bart Howard in 1954. For me, this song is always a good opener for any program I am singing for. It’s got the peppy beat, allows me to show my vocal range and gets the early attention of my audience.
After retiring from 34 years in Special Education Administration I have found a wonderful venue for myself; singing the many songs from the Great American Songbook- allowing the audience to take a trip “down memory lane” to songs that go back to the 1940s and up through the years.

Testimonial
“Every minute spent with Justin – from the planning stage, to recording, to mixing and to the delivery of the finished product – is dealt with experience…kindness, and a desire on his part to bring you to the highest level of performance and satisfaction. I have recorded two albums with Justin. The entire experience has been a joy each time. He knows his stuff, his equipment is top-line and your time is not wasted. I have recommended him to others and will always look forward to working with him again in the near future. As I continue to sing at many different venues, the request for CDs has come up several times. With Justin’s help, I have been able to provide a product I am so very happy to offer to the public. Enough said, go to Waysound Recording for the ultimate experience in recording.”
